Deputy Principal – Cross School

We seek an inspiring and effective leader who has experience in the successful implementation of whole school initiatives. The ability to build high trust working relationships is a critical quality for the successful candidate as the role involves working closely with one other deputy principal and a number of teams and supporting middle leaders with their portfolios.

The deputy principal will play an important role in the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the effective operational running of the school with across school responsibilities.

Confidence in the use of te reo and Te Ao Māori and a commitment to our Treaty obligations is also an expectation.

Remuneration: 4MU + 2MMA. Closing date for applications: Tuesday 11 March, 3pm. Interviews: Wednesday 12 and/or Thursday 13 March. Start date: Monday 12 May or earlier by negotiation.

Deputy Principal – Whanau

We seek an inspiring leader who has experience in managing and supporting students’ wellbeing and pastoral needs during their valuable four years (Y7-10) as they transition from primary school to secondary college.

The successful candidate will lead a team of twelve teachers and over 200 students with the support of an assistant principal, dean and admin assistant in one of our four whānau or ‘schools within a school’.

The deputy principal will also play an important role in the Senior Leadership Team and be expected to lead or manage roles and responsibilities beyond their whānau.

Confidence in the use of te reo and Te Ao Māori and a commitment to our Treaty obligations is also an expectation.

English Teacher

We seek an innovative, collaborative, experienced classroom teacher who can confidently deliver the English and literacy curriculum up to Y10 level. As a Junior College, we cater for the needs of students from Y7 to 10 and NCEA experience would be an advantage for applicants. Confidence in the use of te reo and Te Ao Māori and a commitment to our Treaty obligations is also an expectation.
