𝐓𝐞 𝐀𝐡𝐢 𝐎𝐫𝐚 will be visiting MHJC from the 7th – 11th of August. Te Ahi Ora is a community organisation which promotes safe fire performances. According to Te Ahi Ora this emerging art form is a unique activity, half performing art, half extreme sport. This discipline connects the mind and the body in an incredibly enjoyable manner, while encouraging creativity and self expression. Please visit their website for more information: https://teahiora.co.nz/
They will be working with a Whānau each day, and on their final day providing a special session for our Māori and Pasifika learners.
On Thursday 10th August from 4.30-6.30pm, they will give an exhibition on our school fields to which ONLY MHJC parents and students are invited owing to Health and Safety considerations.
Te Ahi Ora is then holding a community wide event (not connected to MHJC) on Saturday 12th August at Barry Curtis Park from 5.30-8:30 p.m.
