Below is a message from the Beautification Trust about new recycling rules.

The year has brought about changes and developments with our waste system, in particular regarding what we can and can’t recycle. As many of our community currently struggle with an overflowing red bin on a weekly basis, it is now more important than ever to provide education about how to mend this issue.

Recognising this issue, we created an online waste directory to help our community throughout south and east Auckland (https://www.beautification.org.nz/wastedirectory). Not only this, but we have continued to expand our recycling options onsite at our Community Recycling Centre. We now accept soft plastics and bottle caps (plastic and metal), as well as used tyres (no more than 5, cannot include rims).
