Last week our 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟗 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 students hosted their annual Market Day event. Students demonstrated creativity and innovation with the amazing products that they made to sell. They demonstrated skills and knowledge of the 4P’s of the marketing mix – Price, Promotion, Product, and Place. Students made an overall profit of $800 collectively and they have decided to donate the funds to our Tournament of Minds teams. A huge ka pai to our Y9 Enterprise teams for their efforts!
Reminder – this Friday 3rd November is a Non Uniform Day. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation that will go towards a fund supporting deserving members of our MHJC community.
Offical results have now come through for our Tournament of Minds teams competing last week in Melbourne.
Our Language and Literature Team came 2nd for Secondary Game On Challenge. And our Social Science Team won Spirit of TOM and places 2nd in their category.
Fantastic results for an excellent trip! Well done! 🌟
What an excellent effort with ENVIRO Week!
For Walk & Wheels Week, we had over 1000 entries into this competition. The aim of this fun competition was to create awareness of cleaner transportation methods and a better understanding of how such transport has well-being benefits too.
For the He Tohu Taiao Cup, both our neutral judges commented on how clean and presentable every Whānau was. The aim of this was to show continued pride in our school facilities.
Maunga Mountains Whānau were able to keep the ENVIRO Shield this year and they also received the Inaugural He Tohu Taiao Cup for their efforts!
