MHJC finished Te Wiki o te Reo Māori strong, with our tuakana-teina opportunity for our Year 9 & 10 Te Reo classes who taught our Year 7 students some fun Māori kēmu. Ākonga and kaiako also got to enjoy some delicious hāngī for lunch and dressed up proudly in traditional attire.
MHJC started Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with a fried bread workshop for our Māori ākonga. This was followed by some fresh hot parāoa para (fried bread) and purina mamaoa (steamed pudding) for our kaiako during morning tea.
We look forward to continuing to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori!
